Prentice St. Clair is the president of Detail in Progress, an automotive reconditioning consulting firm in San Diego, California. He has served on the ICA’s Professional Detailing Advisory Council for several years and has contributed 60 articles to the industry’s leading trade magazines. He is the author of the widely-acclaimed video training package “Detailing for Profit” and has conducted professional detail training for several years.

Training

  • Lead trainer at Rightlook.com from 1999-2003, providing training to over 200 individuals from around the country and the world in Automotive Detailing, Paint Touch-up and Spot-Blending techniques, Windshield Repair, and Vehicle Interior Repair.
  • Assisted in on-site set-up and training of five-bay express and full-service detailing center in Mexico City, Mexico. Within one year, same company had expanded to three separate operations.

Prentice St. Clair has been involved in the detail industry full-time since 1995 and ten years previous to that as an avocation. In addition to being certified every six months by one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of detailing supplies, he is a Professional Detail Member of the International Carwash Association (ICA) and the Western Carwash Association. He is an instructor at several local detailing seminars each year, is regularly invited to speak at the ICA’s annual convention, sits on the ICA’s Detailing Advisory Board and Education Committee, and is a regular contributor to leading industry trade publications.
